Joel grew up with 5 siblings and is now the proud uncle of 10 nephews and nieces! Joel is an inspirational speaker and mental health advocate, who can relate to the struggles that many youth are facing, as he has faced his own battles with mental illness growing up. He passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness.

 

Before co-founding Inspiration Republic, Joel spent 16 years, working with youth in various capacities, and has been a guest speaker for many groups ranging from primary school right up through university. He has also had the pleasure of being the keynote speaker for a number of youth & young adult weekend retreats. His heart is to educate and help equip young people to overcome the challenges they are facing in their personal lives and to inspire them to live for a purpose greater than themselves.
